1. Summary of the research work and its results

The main goal of this Spark project as proposed on submission was to develop an augmented reality (AR) platform for education in chemistry and structural biology, that would work through web pages in order to enable wide availability and usability without the need of complicated software or hardware setups. With such platform teachers and students would be able to view, manipulate and interact with molecular models in 3D as if they were tangible, but actually through an AR interface that brings in all the power of computer graphics and calculations at the user’s hands.
